My mission is to educate and protect Americans from the devastating costs of long-term care. Families do not realize how important long-term care insurance is until they are uninsurable or actually need long-term care. I don't want that to happen to you!

I specialize in long-term care insurance and represent several high quality, financially sound long-term care insurance companies. I can assist you in designing the proper plan for you and your family.

About Craig S. Olson, CLU

Hello, I'm Craig Olson, and I live in Round Rock, Texas. I have been in the insurance business since 1968, and have worked with long term care coverage since 1990. I earned my Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1975.

My wife Barb and I were married in August of 1969, and have two children, a son Scott born in 1972, and a daughter Kim born three years later. Kim and her husband Joe gave us our first grandchild, Michael Ray Potter, on July 1, 2001. His brother, Jaycen Craig Potter, was born on January 21, 2005. Gethsemane Lutheran in Austin has been our church home since 1975, and I have served three terms on the church council. I have been active in Hospice Austin and United Action for the Elderly, especially in their Telephone Reassurance program. I also volunteer at the local Austin Humane Society.

I participate in the Austin Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and work in our local Memory Walk to raise money to try and end this dread disease. I was employed as an orderly in a nursing home in 1967, while going to college, and that experience gave me my first glimpse into what "long term care" really means. I also visited some of my hospice patients in nursing facilities, after they no longer could stay in their own home. All of those experiences have led me into helping families cope with both the delivery and expense of long term care.

My role is to help you apply for coverage, if long term care insurance seems right for you or your family. If you see the need exists, I will explain the benefits and cost, then let you decide if the whole package makes sense to you. You have to feel entirely comfortable with me, with the insurance company and with the plan's benefits and cost before you decide whether or not to apply. The only thing you should feel "uncomfortable" about is to imagine what you would do without insurance to handle this huge risk.Your arm will never be "twisted" and you will never be under pressure to buy anything.
